NSSAR Bronze Color Guard Medal
Who are those handsome men in uniform?  From left to right, the above photograph shows Compatriot John R. Kohli (SVSAR Past
President and SVSAR Color Guardsman), and Compatriot Robert D. Ebert (CASSAR President and member of the Color Guard of the
Sons of Liberty Chapter wearing the uniform of General George Washington's Life Guards) at the July 4, 2007 Independence Day
Observance at Azule City Park, Saratoga, California.  These two Compatriots are shown ringing the bell, which was rung thirteen times
to represent the original thirteen colonies in the ceremony.  Later they marched in the community parade.  The July 4, 2007
Independence Day Observance was created, organized and led by Compatriot John (Jack) Franklin Mallory with the support and help of
his wife, Susanne.  Compatriot Charles A. Smart (SVSAR President) and Compatriot Terry L. Briggs (SVSAR Registrar) were also
there to support the Color Guard and the program.
