February 20, 2010 - SVSAR Chapter Meeting - Tour of U.S.S. Hornet Aircraft Carrier &
Museum, Alameda, CA
The February 2010 SVSAR Chapter Meeting will be a tour of the U.S.S. Hornet Aircraft
Carrier and Museum at Alameda, CA. Daughters of the American Revolution, District VI
members and their guests will be attending along with SVSAR members and their guests.
Time: 10:00 AM, meet on the flight deck of the U.S.S. Hornet to begin the tour. The tour of
the U.S.S. Hornet will be lead by SVSAR member, retired Navy Captain and pilot, Jim Long
who has made 172 carrier landings and is a docent at the U.S.S. Hornet.
Location: 707 W. Hornet Avenue, Alameda, CA. Parking is free.
Admission: Attendees are to pay their own admission fees. $15.00 for adults, $12.00 for
seniors, $6.00 for children.
Participants and are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes.
